Evaluation Comments from 7/23/05 Workshop

- I liked the personal approach in the breakout session; though it is one person’s perspective it gives me a better idea of what I can do with my life. Also, I liked the way everyone could introduce themselves in the opening exercises; it helped me identify some people I could network with.

- I didn’t know anything about business before. Now I know that there are occupations that deal with how businesses operate so that progress can be measured allowing a business to operate better.

- I liked being able to go into small groups, ask questions and interact.

- I liked hearing about a story of success following numerous personal and professional setbacks.

- The informal setting helped me to learn better.

- The presenters were willing to share both personal and professional experiences.

- The presenters shared professional and personal experiences that were relevant to my situation.

- Opened up my eyes to help me understand how to be happy in my job and to otherwise succeed.

- The personal insights.

- Highly qualified speakers. They revealed common challenges in securing work.

- I received good contact information for future job opportunities.

- The presenters were able to answer questions very well.

- It was great to see faithful members who struggled with small jobs just like I currently have; and then hear how they made progress and obtained better jobs.

- It was great to hear how others have found their jobs. It gives me hope. I was encouraged to hear that your degrees may not have anything to do with the good job you finally end up with.

- Fantastic flow of information.

- Our session had two very interesting speakers. In each case they started their work careers in one area, but a turn of events lead them into their current jobs which they enjoy very much.

- Lots of variety and very professional.
