This film talked about the unlimited possibilities in life. Change
is our ally in taking us to the next opportunity. By letting ourselves
go to the edge in change and opportunity, we will find that wonderful
things will happen in our lives.
Jay Rockwood:
Jay Rockwood is the San Jose Employment Specialist for the LDS
Church covering the 11 Stake areas of the South Bay. He has worked
for over 30 years in the Electronics/Semiconductor Industry of
Silicon Valley. He has worked for start up companies and established
companies such as Hewlett Packard, Seagate and General Instruments.
His background discipline is management in material control and
helping people with employment challenges.
His formal education came from the University of Utah.

-the results of your actions.

He then reviewed several sample resumes and discussed their strengths
and weaknesses.
Don and Bess Huefner:
Don and Bess Huefner are full time Employment Missionaries for
the LDS Church, serving as employment specialists out of the Concord,
California Employment Office.
They have both previously served as full time Employment Missionaries
at the Chicago Employment Office. Don has been self employed for
over 30 years running his own maintenance and gardening supply
company in Utah.
His formal education came from Utah State University.
"How to Do Well in an Interview and
How to Follow Up"
They covered the following areas:
1. Frequently Asked Questions:
Since most employers ask the same basic questions, smart job seekers
prepare their answers long before an interview is scheduled. They
discussed questions frequently asked by employers and schools,
along with some ideas on how you might answer each one.
2. Behavioral Interviewing:
Behavioral questions allow an employer to see how you react or
"behave" under certain situations. First, try to understand
why the employer might be asking the question. Then, provide specific
examples that walk the employer through your thought process as
you develop your answer. They discussed a list of typical behavioral
questions along with things an employer might expect to see in
an answer.
3. How to open and close an interview.
4. Why applicants fail to get jobs.
5. A checklist for preparing for your interview.
