What’s it about?

The adult members of the Church (young and old—married and not married) in the Bay Area have requested a forum where career development and the meeting of professional and successful members of the Church can be held.

The first of these workshops was held July 23, 2005 at the San Jose Institute of Religion near San Jose State University.  This and other past workshops are available for review.

There are 35 workshops that are planned for 2006.

These workshops fit into two categories:

1.  Basic career skills that focus on how to find and successfully compete for jobs.  The components of this category are:

            -How to find good jobs
            -How to develop effective resumes
-How to have an effective interview and then follow up

2.  More advanced career skills used in small businesses and corporate jobs.  The components of this category are:

-How to form, run and improve small businesses
-Understanding income tax laws and managing your money
-Effective planning for your business or job
-How to achieve your business or job goals and objectives

This website will serve as the information source for agendas, speakers and other details.  We ask for your help in spreading the word about these events.

The workshops are open to all adults—members and non-members of the Church.

Please click on the “Future Workshops” tab for information about coming events.

There is no charge for the workshops or for the parking.

We hope to see you there!
